Get to Know David Burck

A native Floridian raised in South Florida, David Burck has long watched communities across the state evolve and seen firsthand how decisions made in Washington, DC affect the daily lives of his family and neighbors.

He has always had a dedication to service. First, to his country as a United States Marine, David swore an oath to protect and defend the very freedoms we enjoy as Americans. After his military service, David continued his commitment to service as an officer with the West Palm Beach Police Department, working day in and day out to ensure the safety and security of the residents of District 22. Through both avenues of service, David’s desire to represent the region in the legislative body, charged with creating the policies that affect every day life for the area he loved, grew.

As a small business owner, David has felt the impact of how good and bad economic policies affect whether businesses and the communities and families with which they are interdependent can thrive or crumble at the whims of policymakers.

Family Values

As he and his wife Ari are raising their first child, David is entering a new arena of impacting the security of his community. His desire to build his own family in a safe community where generations can live and thrive is at the core of his mission.

Protect and Defend

District 22’s rich cultural heritage, its stunning natural and environmental features, and its distinctly “Florida” way of life all deserve to be fought for. David will continue to do what he has done for all of his career: protect and defend what makes this Florida’s 22nd district great.

Native Floridian

As a native Floridian and growing up in South Florida, David Burck’s family history is deeply rooted in the state. He sees Florida as an anchor for the nation and as a bellwether for properly executed states’ rights. Fighting for individual and states’ rights is what drives his decision to run for Congress.

As a Military Police Officer in the United States Marine Corps, David’s oath to protect the nation was born from his commitment to serve America’s ideals. David’s military service forged his awareness of how fragile our liberties are if not fiercely defended.

Committed to Protect

That same commitment led David to protect the local community in the West Palm Beach Police Department, where he battled street level violent offenders and became a Detective in the Gang Crimes unit. David’s political involvement expanded at Turning Point USA as the Major Gifts Officer for Florida, where he worked alongside Charlie Kirk to amplify conservative ideals and instill those values within a new generation of voters.

David’s North Star for political and policy issues has always been what he first swore an oath to defend: the Constitution. In Congress, he’ll be a legislator that works for the American citizens to protect the God-given rights enshrined in our founding documents.

Policy Pillars

JUDEO-CHRISTIAN FOUNDATION

The United States was shaped by Judeo-Christian moral and philosophical traditions in several foundational ways: not as a theocracy or state religion, but as a shared ethical framework that informed the thinking of its founders and institutions.

The founders drew on Judeo-Christian moral philosophy of human dignity, accountability, rule of law, virtue, and conscience as the soil in which American self-governance could grow, while deliberately keeping any particular church or denomination out of state power. The values were foundational; the
religion remained personal, and one’s right to practice protected.

ECONOMIC STRENGTH

For far too long, there has been talk of Washington’s “spending problem,” with little meaningful action to resolve it. The spending has gotten out of control, leading the country into an existential debt and deficit crisis. A culture of fiscal conservatism must begin by reining in spending, encouraging deregulation, eliminating waste, and creating a modernized, simplified tax policy. As a new father, David understands firsthand that the United States cannot continue to put trillions of dollars of debt on the shoulders of future generations.

NATIONAL SECURITY

America’s leadership on the world stage and our historical commitments to exceptionalism can only remain intact with robust national security, including defense and intelligence. Keeping international threats at bay with a peace through strength defense posture, robust immigration controls, and
an intelligence apparatus that respects Americans’ rights, is critical to the United States’ continuity as a sovereign nation.

PRESERVING INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY

Congress has no higher responsibility than ensuring that the liberties given by God and enshrined in our founding documents are fiercely preserved in the legislation emerging from Washington D.C. The expansion of federal government must be reined in, and states’ rights given supremacy as often as possible and appropriate. Life, liberty, and personal property are the pillars of our rights, and Congress must be the firewall against progressive, creeping government overreach.
